Sei Jin from San Diego created this amazing cat cocoon bed by hand cutting all the layers of cardboard! What a lot of work, but what a fabulous result, and obviously the kitties love it.
Sei Jin used a circle cutter, ruler, and Xacto blade to cut out the pieces. Everything is glued together with non-toxic rice glue. The cocoon part comes off the bottom stand. Flip it over and it can be used on the table or floor.
Thank you to Sei Jin for submitting these photos. If you have a special project that you created for your cats, we want to see it! Submit your photos here.
I still can’t wrap my mind around how he did that!
Plus, my mind is blown by how much his champagne burmese looks like our burmese, Donut. Could be twins!
I want to make one; give me a couple of years!!
I would love a more detailed set of instructions on how to make something like this!
So beautiful and looks so comfortable — and oh, those models! 🙂
I would like to buy one – does he sell them?
Wow, that is amazing! I would never be able to figure out how make something like that. How creative!
Ingenious! Some people are so creative and you can tell these cats are really loved. Mine are lucky when I put a cardboard box on the floor for them!
Hi,
Just want to thank you for sending the Modshaker (12 days of Christmas giveaway). My 6 kitties went crazy over it, it was fun to watch them – they actually took turns to play, no fights at all!
Thanks again for such a lovely gift!

I too have a sable and a champagne burmese. How did he get my cats to pose for him ? I think I should get a complimentary cat cocoon for my complimentary cats. They would love it.
I wonder how sturdy it is and if I could make one that hangs on the wall…..hmmmm…..
My cats will enjoy destroying this. they love trashing cardboard.
Can I please get detailed instructions on how to make cardboard cat cacoon?
