The Curvations line of pet carriers from Petmate combines style with some innovative features. The Curvations Kennel and Carrier(shown above) has openings on all sides for ventilation and visibility and the soft yet rigid material is easy to clean. It opens from the front or the top for easy access and the whole thing folds flat for convenient storage.
For traveling with smaller pets, the Curvations Underseat Carrier was designed specifically to fit under an airplane seat. Made from the same soft material, it also folds flat when not in use.
And finally, for fashionable pets on the go, the Curvations Tote is designed to rest easily on your hip and features an adjustable padded strap, as well as the convenient stowaway design.
All three are available from Amazon.
Those look so great! Any idea how tough the mesh is on the door? My cat hate hate hates the car and ripped through her first carrier in minutes of her first car trip, so her current carrier is tougher but I wish it was collapsible like those!
Really like the design and look of these!
Regarding the curations pet carrier. I have a 13 lb cat and wonder if the carrier is big enough?
Thank you PetMate for finally innovating the pet carrier – I had a basic hard one for years that had a top load and side load (PetMate double door deluxe)… I still use it for the foster cats, since it is helpful to have the two loading options and easier to sanitize. I realized my own cat, Bradley, liked to “see” out when we traveled I was able to find the Petmate Look ‘N See – which is designed for the pet to view everything. So glad to finally see some practical and fashionable options!
I love both the look and storage solutions these carriers provide, but unfortunately, none of my cats are under the 10lb weight limit 🙂
I will never again have a soft-sided carrier. One of my cats peed in the carrier once and it ran down the car seat into the crack behind the seat and my car smelled like cat pee until the very day I sold it 5 years later. Only plastic ones will ever do for me! I don’t care how cute it is!!
Love the look of both of these how much are they?
As a lost cat finder, I now recommend ROUND cat carriers like the top one to all owners.
WHY? Cats feel more vulnerable in the typical rectangular carriers as they cannot turn around quickly and easily. Therefore, more relaxed and quiet in a round carrier and less stressed in the car and at the vet with dogs nearby.
My search & rescue cat, Henry sleeps in his PetMate often, so it’s no big deal to zip it up when it’s time to go somewhere. it’s become a place of comfort and safety instead of a sign of impending DOOM!
I’ve been using this carrier for years now and it’s my cats’ favorite thing! I travel a lot and the Curvations Under Seat is the far best carrier in the market. Believe me, I tried tens of carriers from all over the world.
They are light, easy to carry, approved by every airlines in the world… The bottom pad can be washed, which is great! I leave it out in the open in the house (like every pet owner should do with every kind of carriers) so the cats can play in and around it and they just love it! I have one for each and they also use them as bed; they’re very comfortable. They love to sleep in and we never ever had a problem with getting them in the carrier. In the vet’s clinic, the carriers are the only place they want to go back to…
I wouldn’t recommend these to people with feral and/or vicious cats though; the texture is soft and tearable-with some effort. I’d recommend a carrier training first.
