Modernist Cat designs and manufactures exquisite mid-century modern style cat furniture that is beautiful, functional and flexible. If you have a mid-century modern home and are looking for just the right piece of furniture for your cat, look no further.
Their Circa50 Collection includes three cabinets that can be stacked, set side by side, or used as standalone pieces. These cabinets are designed to be litter hiders or hideaway beds. The Standard cabinet has double doors in front and a side entrance, and the Compact I and Compact II have one or two side entrances. All the styles have ventilation holes on both sides. I love the configuration below, which could house the litter box in the upper cabinet, making it very easy to scoop.
Modernist Cat handcrafts all of their cat furniture out of 3/4″ walnut hardwood veneer Europly. The walnut veneer definitely adds to the mid-century modern look. There are options to customize your cabinets by adding colorful grass cloth panels, fleece interior beds, and exterior lounge pads. You can create exactly the look you want.
All of the cabinets double as regular furniture and can be used as side tables or for storage. I really love how these designs integrate seamlessly into a modern home, proving that cat furniture doesn’t have to stand out.
In addition to the cabinets, the Circa50 Collection includes a stylish raised feeder, the Circa50 Diner, also made from walnut veneer Europly with your choice of colorful water-resistant laminate finishes on top for easy cleaning. The feeder holds two washable stainless steel bowls and coordinates beautifully with the other pieces in the collection.
I always enjoy the photos from Modernist Cat featuring their lovely Sphynx cats, Jackson and Elliott!
those are beautiful !!
We do (have a mid-century modern home, sort of — a combo of Art Deco and this) and I am (always looking for gorgeous cat-pleasing furniture like these pieces)! Wow, aren’t they all gorgeous, to say nothing of those two rather racy-looking “nude” models! 🙂
I want this!!!!!
Beautiful pieces. My cats would love them and I would love not having to stoop over to scoop the kitty box.
These are gorgeous, but the cats…. they look like sculptures!! What a beautiful combo of furniture & kitties. 🙂
I have two (2) cats and one dog and I have been looking for something to put the cat food in where the dog can not get to it, would I be able to use one of these cabinets for that purpose?
