My very lucky Hauspanthers had the chance to try out the Cat’s Contour Ceramic Cat Bed from Little Cat Design. They sent us one so Ando could inspect it, and inspect it he did. Of course he was the first one to check it out, and he definitely approves!
This is a gorgeous piece of design, made with perfect cat appeal. The bed is a large ceramic basin that mimics a real sink, but with a soft felt pad on the bottom so it won’t scratch your floor (or dining room table, as in my situation, because where else does a cat bed go?) The gentle curved sides create a comfy nest for kitty and the smooth finish is cool and easy to clean.
Each bed is made to order and comes securely packaged in a sturdy crate, much like if you were ordering a custom made sink or other bathroom fixture. The quality is really outstanding. The Cat’s Contour Bed would look absolutely stunning in an ultra-modern interior, but would fit equally well in any home.
The Cat’s Contour bed measures 19″ x 12.5″ x 6″ and is currently available for $99 plus shipping at LittleCatDesign.com. A larger version measuring 23″ x 16″ x 6″ will be available in March for $110 plus shipping. We received the larger bed and, as you can see, it fits my two big boys with room to spare.
I have one of these and my cats love it! i keep it on my coffee table in my living room as a conversation piece. 🙂
I’ll have to admit that I had my doubts on this one, but the kitties changed my mind. I would, however, like to see it in other colors; preferably earth tones (chocolate brown, moss green, etc.). White definitely wouldn’t work in my household.
Super cute!
Ando is the PERFECT model for this gorgeous piece — and who’s that beauty in the brown stripes? A wriggly, talky, purry torti here is saying she’d like one, too. 🙂
I want to get one of these in the larger size when they come out! Will you be offering a coupon code any time in the future? I think my Ragdolls and rescues would love keeping cool in one of these in the summer months! 🙂
Beautiful, but at a hundred dollars, I’m afraid my Tiger will have to make do with the sink.
This is #1 on my cat stuff wish list for the crazy hot Phoenix summers. Even though my boys never hang out in the sink I’m betting they would love this, if I can ever afford it.
I have to admit, I have had more than a few cats that preferred the bathroom sink as a lounge area.
These are beautiful & I know Trapper would jump right in!
