Here’s a sleek and stylish way to conceal the litter box while adding a designer element to your home. It’s the Catteux litter box cabinet by London-based Elips Design. This large cabinet provides a spacious section for the litter box with a side entrance and a storage compartment. Choose from black or white exterior with custom colors inside.
Holes in the sides and top are both decorative and functional, allowing air and light into the litter compartment. Large doors swing open in front for easy cleaning.
Catteux is made from lacquered MDF and measures approximately 40″ x 20″ x 20″, but custom sizes are also available. Catteux can be purchased directly from catteux.com starting at £ 1,480, or about $2,350 US.
I love this! I remember seeing something similar a long time ago and I forgot all about it, so thanks for sharing this. I’m pretty sure I’ll have something like this one day, I think it just looks so much nicer than a litterbox out in the open. 🙂
Love the design and finishes, but just don’t think I’d want the litterbox in the living room (don’t think the cats would, either) and YEOWCH! the PRICE!!! (Love the fluffy model!)
Really nice piece of furniture. But…when your cat uses this box, maybe located by the chair where you are sitting, there will be a big stink. Personally I don’t want that in my living room. I think these furniture to hide litter boxes are good to look at.They are done with the person in mind, not the cat.
Nifty! I especially like the decorative holes in the top. This is too pricey for me though, and I need a cabinet with a front entrance for the space I have. I may take this idea dn see if I can work out something on my own.
I just wanted to say that the kitty-puss on the yellow chair is SO CUTE!!! The litter box furniture is definitely something my broke @$$ is going to try to recreate in the future! Cheers! Dani & Handsome Man (my meow)
I LOVE this! I too would put the cat bed on top AND put it in front of a window they love to watch out the windows! I’ll have to wait for a less expensive one though… sorry
I’m not into having the litter box so centrally placed in the living room either. But it’s a nice design. What I’m really interested in is those yellow chairs. Adorable! The curved seat looks very comfy for both people and cats.
I have 4 cats, and find that I need a concealed area like that for one of my cats. Beau is at least 16 (might be older), as I adopted him from a rescue organization in Dec. of 1999. He has decided that he wants to use the family room as his litter box, so I have had to put 2 boxes in there to accommodate my beloved old boy. He has been the most wonderful cat in the world, so I will do anything for him. I have taken all the carpet out of my large home, and am replacing it with wood and tile. I also have an aging dog with cancer, so these steps are taken with love for my furry kids.
