This gorgeous piece of modern design is Katchit, a new cat litter box from Germany. European pet product designers are always pushing the limits of good design and this is no exception. This unique cat litter box is made from enameled steel and aluminum, creating an extremely durable and hygienic surface that can be easily cleaned with just water to eliminate odors. Because the enameled surfaces are quite durable this litter box should last for many years, unlike plastic litter boxes that become scratched and absorb odors, therefore needing to be replaced frequently.
Katchit is circular, apparently a shape that the designers feel is better suited to a cat’s natural instincts for litter areas. It also creates a beautiful modern shape and the neutral colors available are perfect for a modern home.
The Katchit litter box sells for around $250 USD, well worth the price for what looks to be excellent quality, all made in a German enamel factory.

Well, the model sure looks happy about it, anyway! 🙂
Anyone who owns a cat knows that this box is going to be a failure. The sides are entirely too low…litter will scatter everywhere. My two dig for china every time they’re done…we had to get a top-entry box for them.
I can relate 🙂
Attractive, but not at all practical and much too expensive for most Cat owners! My cats would have litter all over the house!
More stylish than practical, but would make a nice summer spot to curl up for a cool nap. Personally, I would like one, bigger, with a cushion in it.
This litter box is pretty, but that is all. I can’t see it working for any cat but a small kitten and forget about multiple cat homes. I doubt most cats would ever do anything but possibly sit in it. As another person said the sides are way too low and it is just not big enough for a cat over about 2 lbs. Someone that has never owned cats and has more money than brains would be the only person to purchase it especially at $250. Sorry, but that is the blunt truth.
I like the idea, but I agree that it needs to be deeper. I’d like to see a round design with the inner grate that could be used with pine pellet litter.
Agree with post above as my cats also often spray the sides of the litter box. I’d prefer to replace 20 rectangular boxes over the years than one “round” box
This “box” is a great idea, BUT, it’s too small and the sides must be higher!! Fix it and you’ll enlarge your bank account!!

We have to state that we are a german company & that our czech business partner just started to lounch a czech version of our site.
Concerning the height & size of our toilet we have to say that it was carefully chosen because the lack of any smell and bacteria changes the behavior of the cats. They don’t dig that much and so there’s less “pebbles” on the floor.
Even our big boy Smoky loves it… He weighs 15,5 lbs.
I am a vet nurse studying a diploma in feline nursing. I have 5 cats and would be happy to trial and review this product if your company is happy to send me one. I think the design is attractive and I can certainly acknowledge the benefits of surface that doesn’t absorb the smell as plastic does. I also have concerns about the out gassing of plastic in a cats immediate environment. I think it’s a brilliant idea. I also think different trays and litters suit different cats.
Great to see a progressive company and would love to see some reviews from people who have tried it.
I love this design. It looks good and would be so easy to clean. I use Swheat Scoop cat litter and think this would be a good match. The round shape might even stop the excess digging and is seems deep enough for my cats. As much as I’d like to try it the price is double what I’d consider.
