Looking for a simple way to hide the litter box? This lightweight birch plywood screen from LitterWorks simply fits over any litter box. It can be configured for front or top entry and the clean Scandinavian inspired design would fit in most homes. Because it has no back or bottom, it’s easy to remove for cleaning.
The inside dimensions are 23″ x 16″ x 16″. If using for top entry, the box cover works with a 58 quart storage container, as shown above. This is very helpful if you have a side sprayer!
The LitterWorks box cover is available from Amazon in unfinished birch plywood for $99 or with a non-toxic clear finish for $129.
Beautiful and versatile!
Both of my cats are used to going outside; ( previous owner allowed this, at age 9 they’re wise enough to stay near the house): Enclosed areas do not appeal to them, their instinct is to watch out for “predators”even when they take a dump.
The litter box covers I need for them either has to be clear plastic, or one way glass so that they can see out but no one sees them. If and when you ever carry something like this, I’ll be the first customer.
I’m wondering if they can bear weight. I can see something like this by my front door, doubling as a bench where people can sit to take off their shoes (white carpet, muddy outdoors). I would get something like this if it could hold up to 200lbs on the bench seat.
How big is your cat???
Read my comment again. I wonder if PEOPLE can sit on it.
I love the simplicity. I wonder though, if it isn’t a little too small. Both my cats like to stand on the edge of the litterbox when covering their most recent deposits. They would not be able to do that in this tiny box. It’s a good idea though, for cats who don’t mind tight quarters.
It’s a good-looking alternative to that plastic top.
