Scandinavian design usually means good design, and this line of modular cat climbing furniture from Danish company Kattens No. 1 is no exception. They have been refining their cat furniture designs since 1991, offering an extensive collection of components that use a patent pending floor to ceiling mounting system allowing you to create a totally customized cat climbing system.
The components are made of the highest quality materials, like extra strong sisal. Add on perches, hideaways, feeding platforms and scratching/climbing posts until your cat is happy!
Kattens No. 1 recently released the No Limit line, a new system that attaches only to the wall (no floor or ceiling mounts), plus you can attach surfaces at any angle. Just imagine the possibilities!
Kattens No. 1 does have an English translation on their website (look for the button in the upper right corner) so you can read more about their products, however it’s not clear if the products are available outside of Scandinavia. Visit Kattensno1.dk for more info.
What a face!
Gorgeous cats and endless possibilities for cat enjoyment = a winner! 😉
This is magical “Caification”. Brilliant. I want it!- our kitties would be thrilled .
Great except for one thing: cleanability. Trying to clean the inevitable puke or hairballs out of the walkways would be very difficult with the textured, absorbent material. True, that is a common problem with wall systems, but the grid like texture here make it cleaning seem extra challenging.
I certainly agree about the cleanability issue. One more thing that doesn’t impress me is that some of the tier appendages
are slanting from the weight of a cat. I would wish for them to maintain a level line with or without the cat.
Really ugly, this one.
Lot of fun for the cats but a nightmare for a breeder like me, imagining how kittens would be in danger up there in the air 😉
I love these, my cats would love something like this! What a great idea!
Will this help a female cat & male cat getlong if I build some where for them to climb ?
I’m sure they’d love to be able to have vertical space.
Is it just me, or are most of these cats Norwegian Forest Cats? Appropriate, if so. 🙂
