It’s back to school for kitty with this hilarious old school drinking fountain from Catastrophic Creations! This unique cat fountain is handmade from wood with a weathered finish to give it an antique look. It mounts to the wall (I’d maybe hang it a little lower than they have in the photos) and streams a continuous flow of water for kitty to sip from as she pleases. The fountain is finished with food grade epoxy. There’s only one available from the Catastrophic Creations Etsy shop.
I dont think a cat would enjoy that…they are supposed to have easy access to water..that cat looks really awkward.
Mine really enjoy drinking water from the hose when I water the plants in the garden. They even prefer it from fresh clear water right from their water bowls. So I think they would enjoy this one!
That is cool, I want to get one for my cats. I would mount it lower though for easier access.
Yikes-just saw the price, we will have to pass.
It’s cute and everything, but I agree with Shannon; it looks hard to drink from. Maybe if it was mounted flush with the floor. Also it looks like you would have to anchor it against the wall. Then how on earth do you clean it? The cleaning of cat drinking fountains is a huge but necessary chore.
Agree with previous poster, but have to admit the photos are priceless 😉
Ha ha! Catastrophic Creations has created yet another absolutely clever piece! Thumbs (polydactyl thumbs, actually) up for this brilliant brainstorm!
” Food grade Epoxy” ? Yikes…..not near my cats.
My cat Nox would love that, I think. He sits in the sink and cries for us to turn it on. Yeah, a little lower would be great though.
I think, aesthetically, I’d like it more if it were actually metal, like the original. In any case, wood is nice, but doesn’t seem practical for something with water constantly running through it, even if it is coated in epoxy.
Best part of this is the idea–a people fountain for cats. I like the look of wood, but the epoxy, even food grade, makes me hesitate. Metal is practical, but it takes away from the aesthetics. Yes, it’s placed too high up for kitty. I guessed at the price before looking—L….O….L !!!–my guess was w-a-a-a-y off!! Yikes indeed! A luxury item for the wealthy.
Look at the cat bridge on their website! Love this.
wow!! This thing is beautiful and excellent!! My cats love to drink out of my bathroom sink, I let the water just “trickle” all the time. I love antiques, this prize would be great on both accounts. I didn’t see an entry form, so I hope my comment is my entry…………….everyone have a great day!!
