It’s time to nominate your favorite cat shelter in the 2014 Ultimate Cat Shelter Makeover Contest sponsored by The Vertical Cat! We’ve rounded up over $2,000 in prizes to be awarded to ten lucky cat shelters. Do you know a cat shelter that could use a facelift?
The Vertical Cat is generously donating $1,000 of their cat climbing products plus delivery to the winning shelter. Kitty Harbor in West Seattle Washington.
I would like to nominate Holy Cat Whiskers in Madison ohio. I found them 2 years ago when searching for a cat for my son. They are a wonderful group of people. Leslie Lawrence runs the shelter. Her devotion goes beyond her love for animals. I have never seen a more dedicated group of people. I have since become involved in fund raising for the shelter. It’s rewarding to help these animals. We are a no kill shelter for TNR. For some cats this is there forever home. We have come a long way. We only get funding from donations. With 72 cats currently that takes alot. We can definitely use more help. >^..^<

The Springfield Humane Society in Springfield, VT is an amazing place – they take very good care of animals. They are very deserving of the top prize!
Don’t forget to nominate your favorite animal shelter to win $1,000 worth of our Vertical Cat furniture.
The Springfield Humane Society in Springfield, VT goes above and beyond when it come to carrying for the cats and dogs. We have adopted cats from them since 1985.. The cat room could really use an update after years of use by hundreds of cats.
The Springfield Humane Society in Springfield, VT is just a wonderful shelter. They not only take great care of the cats and dogs, but they are active members in the community. They allow for the local schools to come in for field trips and while there, the kids learn so much about the shelter and how to best take care of their own pets. They are a very well-deserving shelter.
Springfield Humane Society deserves this prize-grand. Best shelter anywhere.
I would like to nominate “Holy Cat Whiskers” of Madison, OH (44057). They’ve been in existence for 10 years, and have save the lives of hundreds of abandoned and/or feral cats. They provide adoption for the kittens which they hand raise, and a low cost spay/neuter program to help the community and educate the people. They would be a very worthy recipient, and get my strongest recommendation.
