Here’s a brilliant new cat product idea from The Netherlands that’s just launching with a Kickstarter campaign. It’s The Woozy, a modern cat hammock that hangs on the radiator or easily converts to a floor-standing model.
Radiators are much more common in Europe than in the US, but if you do have one, this bed can easily adjust to fit any size radiator (watch the Kickstarter video to see how it adjusts, it’s fabulous!) Kitty will have a cozy suspended bed in the warmest part of the house!
Every aspect of The Woozy is beautifully designed (I would expect nothing less from Dutch design!) All the parts ship in a small box and look to be easily assembled. The frame is made from high quality beech wood, the hooks are powder coated steel, and the hammock is made from recycled polyester fabric.
The fabric cover is removable and washable and comes in six colors: blue, dark gray, gray, green, yellow and red.
Don’t have a radiator? No worries! Simply adjust the position of the arms/legs and now you have a beautiful, sturdy, floor-standing cat hammock!

I would hesitate to use it on a radiator– those things can get MIGHTY HOT! And suppose cat gets foot or arm caught in the radiator while sleeping — not a good outcome.
You don’t buy this and your cat is still sleeping on the same hot radiator with leg traps what’s the difference? I would think a hammock would be safer.
Echoing Ace’s thoughts prior to my post; and despite the odd name, I think it’s a beautiful hammock that my family would very much enjoy as free-standing!
Thanks for the find! What a great alternative to the usual ugly plush hammocks. I hope they produce it, I would be so happy – not to have to hide the hammock anymore because of its ugly look. And my boys love their hammock. They will love thsi one for sure!
