Today is National Feral Cat Day, a day to show your commitment to improving the lives of cats in your community! Our friends at Alley Cat Allies coordinate this annual event to raise awareness for the humane care of community cats and showcase the resources and programs available. You can visit NationalFeralCatDay.org to find events in your community, purchase NFCD gear, and download educational materials to share with your neighbors.
You can even send a free NFCD 2014 eCard to help spread the word!
What are you doing for National Feral Cat Day this year?
Today we held our yearly fundraising evnet in celebration of National Feral cat Day.
We showed a video that featured our kittens that were up for adoption as well as some of our happy and successful adoption from the past.
Our event was a huge success…..lots of cat/kitten food and lots of monetary donations.
Thank you so very much for sharing this. Everyone who cares about any cat needs to care about all cats and become educated to advocate for all cats. Alley Cat Allies is THE national cat advocacy organization protecting cats and educating the public, lawmakers, and law enforcement about cats, whom it is a felony in almost all USA states to harm or neglect. We must bring this to all the dark little corners of the society where people think they can get away with cruelty and murder. Protectng all cats is a must! and reporting any instance of neglect and/or abuse of any cat is also a must.
As a longtime Alley Cat Allies supporter/advoCATe and proponent of TNR, I think you for sharing this with your readership and hope that everyone reading will get involved all year round in whatever ways they can to help protect and care for feral/free-roaming/community cats!
