Cats love to climb ladders, but regular ladders aren’t really safe for cats to climb, plus they aren’t something you’d want around as part of your regular decor. Well, here’s a better option! Cat Ladder Feline Furniture mades these attractive and functional ladders just for cats!
Each Cat Ladder is handcrafted from white pine for the rails and furniture grade maple or birch plywood for the stairs and landings. Each step is nice and wide, creating a stable climbing surface, plus the steps are covered in carpet to prevent slipping. Choose from three finishes, Cinnamon, Espresso or Pecan, and three carpet colors, Slate, Earth or Plum.
Cat Ladders are available in several sizes, starting with a 3-step ladder measuring 38″ long for $75 and ranging up to an 8-step ladder measuring 96″ long for $200. View their selection guide to see how far away from the wall each model reaches. You can also purchase replacement carpet pads when they become worn.
These would make an excellent addition to your cat superhighway, especially for people who are renting and if you can’t drill into the walls. The ladders attach to window or door trim or to the wall with either a permanent bracket that you can drill into the wall or with adhesive strips that are easy to remove. I’m really quite fascinated by this concept!

Good luck opening that door in the second picture from the top…..
Hey, the photo of our 8-step ladder in front of the closet door is intended to show how the ladder can reach to high places around your home and rest on door and window molding. Thanks for taking a look at our products.
🙂
I like them. Would they hold up on a screened porch where rain would hit them from time to time?
From Cat Ladder: We’re glad you like them! Our current ladders are not constructed for use outdoors but we are working on models that are suited for indoor/outdoor use. Stay tuned, and thanks for your inquiry.
Love this product and the insight to arrange steps that can be easily accessed by cats.
I need an outdoor one…is it in process yet?
Thank you for a great product.
We made a cat ladder for our “barnies” and even though it wasn’t as aesthetically beautiful as these, it did get a LOT of use. These are really nice and I’m sure most cats would love having one!
From Cat Ladder: Lucky barn cats! Our ladder started out very simply, too. Now our cats love the “refined” ladders with the beautiful finishes — they climb them every day — and the ladders nicely complement our furniture. Thanks for sharing your feedback.
These are one of the best different ideas in cat furniture I’ve seen! Looks great and you know would definitely get used. Now I’m measuring my compact city apartment to see where I might fit one in. . . .
From Cat Ladder: Thanks, Kate! Glad you like them and we hope you find a place in your apartment for a ladder (bet your cat does, too!).
this has got to be the coolest thing I’ve ever seen! I need one!!
I like them and I’m sure my meanie would too. I had to partially take down her tree because she would like to sleep on the top and she kept falling off (she’s a big kitty). I will bookmark your site once I find a safe place for her to enjoy it.
I love them! I especially like the narrow profile. I’ve been trying to come up with a simple solution for a place my older kitty can climb up to, but has trouble getting back down from. This might be it! The area in question has no wall studs available, so wall steps hasn’t been an option.
These are fabulous. When this company was still in the development stages, they donated a ladder to our shelter for testing. It sits in one of our cat apartments and even 2 years later, it is still a huge hit with our cats and it gets a lot of use. It is not unusual to see 2-4 cats lounging on it daily. Great product and wonderful craftmanship.
