I know you’re going to be extra excited about this week’s giveaway! Here’s your chance to win the new Natural Sphere Cat Tower from Sauder Pet Home that everyone is raving about! This beautiful elevated cat hideaway is part of the new line of elegant cat products from furniture manufacturer Sauder. Every piece is spectacular, but the sphere is one of my favorites!
The Natural Sphere Cat Tower is not only beautiful but extremely functional for cats. The generously-sized banana leaf sphere rests on top of three legs, one wrapped in a seagrass scratcher. A carpeted platform below creates an extra resting spot and a very high quality hanging toy is perfect for play.
They very wisely added two entrances to the sphere, one in front and another on top, always a good idea in a multi-cat household so no one can get trapped inside. The Natural Sphere Cat Tower stands 44″ tall and the jump up to the front opening is 30″ from the ground.
Some people have questioned if this is too high for cats to jump in and out comfortably, so they sent us one to test and I’ve experimented by putting it in different places. We have ours right next to the bed and near a small shelf. This is actually perfect, because the cats can jump in and out from the bed (they also do jump in and out from the floor) and they are at the perfect height — when I’m in bed I can see them eye-to-eye but they have their own space to sleep. They can also walk along the shelf to access the top opening. This piece is perfect for integrating into your cat superhighway and using in combination with other human furniture. Not to mention that it really looks great and it’s incredibly sturdy and very high quality. Most of my cats love the sphere, I’m always walking into the bedroom and finding someone else using it.
The Natural Sphere Cat Tower is available from the Sauder Pet Home website or from Amazon.
What do you think?
The designers at Sauder are considering making a shorter version of the Natural Sphere Cat Tower. What do you think? Leave a comment on this post telling us if you would like to see them make a shorter version, and what height you think would be ideal.

I don’t think it needs to be shorter. The height is very appealing as a piece of furniture and appealing to kitties. Cats love to jump and be up in higher places. The sphere is so roomy and private and I love the added scratcher post. As kitty ages, if they seem to have issues getting into the sphere, their person can place it near a piece of furniture or step to help them. All around, I think it’s a beautiful piece and I wouldn’t change anything.
I would love to have this for my cats
I definitely think a shorter version would be great for kittens and elderly cats. My cat has bad hips and I’d be worried about her jumping down from this.
This would be so fabulous as a silent auction or raffle item for our rescue, Meow Village – would LOVE to win it as funds are always needed. We are a registered all unpaid volunteer non profit.
I really like this height. It is not as tall as Daisy’s other condo, but still provides good exercise potential plus the fact the hiding area is off the floor is nice. However, a shorter version would be a nice variation, and I could imagine having both if I had more than one cat. I also agree with the Julie who posted above–a shorter version would be great for elderly cats and kittens! I love this design, it is very clever and pretty.
This is GORGEOUS and believe me, if we are fortunate enough to win it, we will make it work! 😉
It’s very nice but I do believe to tall, especially for our older kitties. Need shorter version. Also, the price is more than the average cat owner would spend on a cat tower. I would say the cost should be more than $100.
I think this piece is lovely as is, but I’d love to see a shorter version as well. As some of the earlier comments have indicated, the height would be a bit difficult for older kitties or kitties with mobility issues, and it’s not always a good option to have a shelf or step next to the entrance. Maybe an entrance that is 18 inches or less would be a good option to have. Also, an option with double decker spheres would be fun for multi-cat homes.
Yes, I think they should add a shorter option. Miss Kitty (a senior kitty ) would be happier with a model that she could access with ease.
I absolutely love this! my cats would go crazy for it. How fantastic this would be in my home for my rescued and beloved kitties!
If it’s stable, I think it’s the perfect height. Senior or disabled cat would do well if it were shorter, though.
I think a shorter one would be great. I took home a stray, what I thought was a kitten who turned our to be pregnant. She likes being up and hiding and think she would really like this, but the bigger she is the harder it is for her to jump. I love the size and shape and function. I think the kittens will like it too and feel safe.

I think this height is fine, but shorter could work too.
Taller for sure! Cats love to climb and watch their people and environment. Add another cubby hole for multiple cat homes. Be sure to have the sisal vertical and NOT horizontal as cats with claws will wear that out way too soon. Any cat furniture that has it horizontal I will avoid as my cats will tear off the first few rows of it within a year. I go for the vertical sisal and it lasts so much longer. Taller-yes!
I’m pretty sure most kitties are of the opinion that “The bigger the better.” That being said, I have one little guy who is the most uncoordinated feline I’ve ever been owned by. For him, and other not-so-agile cats, a lower option may be better.
Perhaps it is possible to add an additional platform midway; without sacrificing too much on this beautiful design.
I know my crew always try to find the highest place to perch. That being said, enough people have written about elderly cats so it seems the company would appeal to a wider audience if they offered different hieghts.
I think this is a very attractive piece with many options that appeal to cats. Someone has done some good reasearch in their desgn department, for sure.
Woul consider buying this for my home and for the crew.
This is such a nice piece, I just pinned it to my kitty love board on pinterest!
Does anyone ever win anything from here? Haven’t won anything yet and I’ve been here for years.
Hi, Dana:
We list the winners every week, so sorry we haven’t pulled your name yet, but we have some more fun giveaways coming up with even better odds of winning, so stay tuned!
I think my cat would say, “This is brilliant! It’s great!” Cats breed Sacred Birman love to jump high, so I would like for them to have a house! very beautiful design that will adorn the interior of the house and bring the joy of my cats!
If someone wins from England/Europe can they be given the option of paying the postage?. There are a lot of competition entrants who probably have no idea this competition is only available to US and Canada as it doesn’t state that on the Facebook page.
I like the height it is. And I think Petals would, too!
A great design and combination. If I were to suggest a different height, it would be about large suitcase size so that it could fit in the corner of my closet where my Tabby likes to nest sometimes.Of course, this is too nice to hide. It is too high for my Manx, though, so it would have to be half the size. Good luck everyone!
Yes, it might be high to comfortably jump down from. A taller and shorter option would satisfy everyone.
A shorter version would be very nice for senior kitties.
