You’re invited to attend a very special event celebrating both cats and design! The Architects for Animals® “Giving Shelter” exhibit will be held on Thursday, March 10, 2016 in Los Angeles. The event will be a fundraiser for FixNation, one of our favorite non-profits, a clinic providing free spay and neuter services for homeless cats in the Los Angeles area.
Architects for Animals invites top LA architecture and design firms and individual architects and designers to design creative and functional outdoor dwellings for cats. The shelters are then displayed during a unique cocktail reception. Some of the participating firms include: Standard Architecture | Design, DSH // Architecture, Formation Association with Buro Happold, HOK, Lehrer Architects, Perkins and Will, RNL, RTKL, Brandon Nuckelt and Knowhow Shop.

Celebrity Cat Bowls
Nearly two dozen one-of-a-kind cat food bowls decorated by celebrities, including Betty White, Jay Leno, Jackson Galaxy, Beau Bridges, Kristin Bauer and more, will be on display during the event and available for purchase via an online auction.
Hauspanther Style Lounge
This year guests will also enjoy a special Hauspanther Style Lounge, hosted by yours truly. This is your chance to see the Hauspanter website come to life! The lounge will be filled with all my favorite designer cat products in every category — climbing, lounging, scratching, dining, litter and more. You’ll get to see and feel the products for yourself and then bid on them in an online auction with all proceeds benefitting FixNation!

The event will take place on Thursday, March 10 from 5:30 to 9:30 pm at the HermanMiller Showroom, 3641 Holdrege Avenue in Los Angeles. Tickets are available at fixation.org/givingshelter2016. General admission is $50 (plus ticket fees). Enjoy complimentary vegetarian and vegan fare, open bar, free parking, and much more!
