What is Whisker Stress?
Whisker stress, also known as whisker fatigue, is caused when a cat’s whiskers are forced to come in contact with the edges of their food bowl or dish. Since a cat’s whiskers are extremely sensitive, this is quite uncomfortable and can cause irritation.
The Dr. Catsby bowl prevents whisker stress by providing a wide shallow eating surface that allows food to fall to the center of the bowl but still provides enough of an edge to prevent food from being pushed out of the bowl. I strongly feel that my 2 are whisker sensitive because they only eat in the middle and leave food around the edges. This looks like it would work well!

We purchased 4 of them for our gang. We feel the bowl part should be wider and they should not have hollow bottoms (the underneath part). When its time for them to dry after washing them, water will sit in either side if you put them in the dish rack to dry.
they made them hollow bottoms cause it was cheaper to produce them that way, they should have been solid for twenty bucks!
I bought two of these bowls after they were first demonstrated here, and I am so happy with them. The shape and size are quite ideal for the cats, and the design is easy to use and to clean.
We’ve had problems with “cat acne” here, so I was glad that the bowls are metal.
