ContempoCat just released two awesome new cat trees that are welcome additions to the world of cat product design! I’m very excited to share these new designs with you, just in time for the holidays!
In order to address the need for a freestanding tension pole cat tree to replace the beloved (and no longer available) Stolmen pole system from Ikea, ContempoCat completely overhauled their old Elevation Modular Cat Tower System, creating the Elevation II Modular Cat Tower System. This modular system is totally customizable and fits ceiling heights ranging from 7′ 9″ to 9′ 3″. The telescoping tension pole fits securely between the floor and ceiling with slots every 4″ for you to attach platforms, steps and feeders. Made from sturdy 3/4″ birch plywood, you can purchase components separately or get a kit with 1 pole, 5 steps and 2 platforms, plus you’ll get a free feeder though the end of the holiday season! The pole alone is $129, platforms are $35 and the steps and feeders are $25. The kit is $349. You can order now for shipping at the end of October.
In addition to the Elevation II system, their new Grove Cat Tree also looks like a real winner! The Grove Cat Tree attaches to the wall, so it has a very small footprint but is still sturdy. Seven generously-sized platforms allow cats to easily navigate up and down the tree, while providing ample room to lounge. Made from 3/4″ unfinished birch plywood, you can stain or paint the Grove Cat Tree to match your decor. $349.
All of ContempoCat’s products are made in the USA with locally sourced, eco-friendly materials. Check out these two new cat trees, along with all their other offerings, at contempocat.com.
These looks so great! One of my cats is blind and it’s hard to find cat trees with rounded corners. He’s good at navigating, but every now and then he goes too fast and falls, and I’m afraid he’ll hurt himself on the hard 90-degree corners of most trees. Yay–will be ordering a grove before long!
Those designs are BRILLIANT! Love the feeding stations “on high” — a great setup for households with food-threatened cats, dogs, grabby toddlers, or whatever. They look very sturdy, too, which is important.
I love the rounded corners of each platform because it’s safer of cats and humans alike. It reaches the ceiling too!
Hi. Just got a crazy bengal kitten who needs to climb. I’m trying to decide between the two models. Could 6o7 give me the dimensions on the Grove Tree wall mounted unit…height?
It looks like the Grove Tree is no longer available, but the Elevation II and the Hub are both great options that are customizable.
