Here at Hauspanther, we cover a LOT of cat products throughout the year, and many are instant winners. Here’s a round up of what we saw as the most popular cat products from 2016. Some are new and others are classics, but all of these are guaranteed to be a hit with both cats and cat guardians.

This beautiful piece of furniture provides a vertical scratching surface, a hideaway bed underneath and a perch on top. The Duchess of Sofa Savers was also a welcome addition to the world of good looking, functional cat scratchers. This one is designed to protect the corner of your sofa. $49.99 in five colors from Amazon.
More great scratching and climbing options include the Vesper V-High Base Modern Cat Tree for $99.99; the classic PetFusion Ultimate Cat Scratcher Lounge, $49.99 in walnut or grey; the always popular Ultimate Scratching Post from Pioneer Pet, $49.99, on sale now for $39.99; and Prevue Pet’s Kitty Power Paws Jute Scratching Sphere, $38.99.
Window hanging cat beds are a perfect fit for most homes. The original Oster Sunny Seat is still a great value at under $15 and the new K&H Window Pod Kitty Sill is a terrific new design for $34.99.
In the dining and drinking category, ThirsyCat Fountains’ exclusive new designs just for Hauspanther are a big hit with prices ranging from $175 to $195, and the Dr. Catsby Anti-Whisker Stress Stainless Steel Bowl took 2016 by storm! Don’t let your cat endure whisker stress in the new year!
One of the most popular items that we covered this year was the Kitty Pass Interior Cat Door, a great way to make a nicely finished and very attractive passage for your cat through an inside door.
The new Chill Pads from P.L.A.Y. sold like hotcakes this fall when we launched them (I think Andy’s modeling helped with that!), starting at $39 and available in a wide variety of colors and styles.
The new Hauspanther Collection by Primetime Petz launched in 2016 and it’s helping cats everywhere climb, lounge and scratch in style! Prices range from $49.99 to $69.99. We’ve got more designs coming in 2017 so stay tuned!
CatastrophiCreations Floating Sisal Post Step was also a huge hit! These sisal wrapped cat steps allow you to create a walkway for cats to navigate a vertical climbing wall, plus they look really cool! $35 each from the CatastrophiCreations Etsy shop.
The Urban Pet Haus Wave Perches are a timeless classic that continue to be one of the most popular items we write about. New lower pricing at $74.99 for the small and $119.99 for the large on Amazon.
Another new hit this year was the Hide & Sneak Paper Bag Cat Tunnel from Dezi & Roo. These expandable kraft paper tunnels are perfect for all kitties who love paper bags! $14.99 for one or $37.99 for a 3-pack at shop.hauspanther.com.
In the litter department, a few items really stand out as the best for day-to-day use. The SmartCat Natural Clumping Cat Litter is my absolute favorite litter and I won’t use anything else. If you haven’t tried it, give it a whirl! Pair this litter with It’s the Scoop from K-Kat Innovations and the Blackhole Litter Mat and you’ve got the best litter set-up, in my opinion.
And two favorite cat toys that always stand the test of time are the SlimCat Treat Dispenser Toy from PetSafe and the classic Cat Dancer, both under $5!

The scoop from K-Kat is the best scoop ever! I had two carpal tunnel surgeries last year and having to scoop for 35 cats, the scoop made my life a whole lot easier!!
