The original Hepper Pod Bed has been an icon of modern cat design since it first came out almost ten years ago. It was one of the first products I ever wrote about and I’ve worked closely with Hepper over the years as the company has developed numerous fantastic modern cat products. I’m excited to announce that they just launched a brand new version of their popular pod bed, and from the looks of it, they REALLY listened to feedback from their customers.
The new Hepper Pod Bed is larger, with the interior size measuring 19″ x 15″ x 11″, now able to accommodate lager cats or two cats who like to snuggle. It also has a larger opening measuring 8.5″ x 8.5″ that’s 10″ off the floor, allowing easier access for larger cats. The newly designed sturdy metal frame has four legs with non-slip rubber pads on the bottom to keep the pod from moving when cats jump in and out. And finally, the soft sherpa fleece and microfiber liner can be removed and washed, making it easy to keep the inside of the pod fur-free.
The Hepper Pod Bed can be used as an open raised bed simply by removing the top. With the top in place, the pod offers cats a sense of security and privacy as well as a warm spot to sleep. I think these changes to the original design make for an even more useful and practical product that still looks amazing!
