JUST ordered 2, one for mama, but most importantly, I got the shallow 4 1/2 inch pink Neko bowl for my princess. I broke her favorite fancy bowl the day after Christmas. It was actually an expensive antique, Chinese porcelain bowl with real gold around the rim and some in the design. (Yes, it was safe-although my Chinese tutor who’d sent it to her about a year and a half ago, had gotten it tested himself-since it WAS an antique; I had it tested by a friend who works in a lab here in the US). It was stunning and I had friends & my daughter’s freaked out that I was feeding the princess her dinner in it instead of displaying t safely on a high shelf. She’s a VERY special kitty and I actually cried when I tripped on the rug and stepped on her special bowl. Even she looked depressed looking at the broken pieces.
Since then, I’ve been searching for a special bowl to replace it. My Chinese tutor is looking for another “Regal” bowl we’ll use only for special occasions; but THESE bowls will be perfect for us to share our dinner together. She prefers to eat dinner with me on the table, but because I don’t eat a “normal” breakfast & lunch, she either eats on the table by herself, or has a placemat and spot next to my desk where she eats those meals & the occasional treat.
I showed her the picture and I swear she smiled-so thank you for showing us another “Special” I could get for my baby girl! (As if Santa didn’t bring her enough! 😹 My friends in China said since they’ve sent her almost every toy made for cats-they sent her some human baby/toddler toys this year. Her absolute favorites? A baby radio when she presses the button it plays pretty music box tunes and has multi-colored flashing lights. She lays down and repeatedly taps the button with her paw. 🙄😸; a pull-back car, about 5 inches long that she figured out pretty quick and has spent hours pulling it backwards and chasing it down our hallway; and last but not least, a hot water bottle that stays warm all night and has a fluffy cover shaped like a kitty. She cleans it, “brushes” the “fur” with her claws and curls up around it all night. 😸 Leela is one VERY happy, VERY spoiled and VERY loved kitty!
If you have a Daiso store in your area, check there. I’ve seen these there and bought the small plates to use for my cat’s food dishes.
I’m just as obsessed as you are over cat-themed soup bowls, Kate, and I have a couple that I love! Thanks for sharing these gorgeous ones — all of which I want — with us.
