Here’s a great way to keep your cat active and engaged! It’s Pipolino, a mobile food dispenser. Simply fill it with your cat’s dry food or treats (if you don’t feed regular dried food, freeze dried works great, too!), adjust the openings from easy to difficult and roll it across the floor. The smaller or fewer the openings, the less food will come out, making cats work a little harder for the payoff.
We had a chance to test the Pipolino and I really like it! It has one of the largest chambers so you can fill it with quite a bit of food, plus it very durable and easy to keep clean. Available in three different colors from Amazon.com.

I can see that these would be very interesting and challenging! Great for cats who are, uh, on the “prosperous” side, too. Thanks for sharing.
These look very well made, but I wonder about crumbs getting all over the place and attracting mice and ants. You’d have to vacuum all the time.
Also, if someone has more than one cat it could cause a fight.
A toy with FOOD.
A toy like this for dogs caused my sister’s two dogs to get in such a big fight within 30 minutes that both dogs had to go to the vet for stitches, and they had never fought like that ever in the 6 years of living together and sharing chew toys. And there were TWO, one for each dog. But one got the treats out faster and went to get the other one…. yeah, and get out the vacuum cleaner….
I imagine even my sweet bonded pair of cats would get bent out of shape fighting over a toy with treats in it.
Even if it were outside in a catio, there’d still be crumbs to attract mice and ants.
Sorry. I think the idea behind it is a good one, though.
Dear Suze,
Thank you for your contribution and your questions about the Pipolino. It’s a pleasure for us to give you some explanations about crumbs and fights.
Crumbs:
The Pipolino has been designed to prevent croquettes from being crushed, so there are no more crumbs on the ground than in a bowl.
For people who feel embarrassed by pellets on the ground, a tray in which cats will be able to roll the Pipolino will be sold shortly.
Fights:
The Pipolino is like a hunting field that dogs have fun to share: they like hunting in packs! Dogs who usually fighted for a bowl easily share the Pipolino.
Fights are unusual, or happen eventually during the first days of initiation when these dogs are bulimic: in that case, we suggest you to separate the dogs during their meals at the Pipolino, and wait till their bulimia is cured.
We have never observed fights between cats with the Pipolino, which, on the contrary, improves the relationship between enemy cats. Only one Pipolino can be enough for 4 cats if this one is left in self-service and is filled with new pellets before it is empty. If, however, you’re still worried, you can use one Pipolino for each animal.
We hope we reassured you about the Pipolino which is much more than a toy, but a real tool of well-being. If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to send us a private message on our Facebook page: we’ll be happy to answer your questions!
