Cats are hardwired to prefer moving water, because in nature moving water is less likely to be contaminated than stagnant water. This is why so many cats like to drink from running water in the sink. The new Swan Fountain from Pioneer Pet is a pet drinking fountain with a free-falling water stream that gives your cat continuous running water, just like a sink faucet.
The Swan Fountain is made from smooth white plastic (I know, not ideal, many cat owners prefer ceramic or stainless) and it’s easy to assemble and disassemble for cleaning. It is dishwasher safe and has a replaceable charcoal filter to keep water fresh. It also has a USB plug so you can run it off a rechargeable USB power source if you do not have an outlet nearby. That’s cool!

These Pioneer Pet Swan Fountains For Cats are beautiful and cat-attractive, and I love the USB option! They are affordable, too. Thanks for sharing with us.
I bought one of these for my old man – he had a ThirstyCat bubble-up fountain which he formerly liked, but then he started wanting to jump up and try to drink out of the sink instead and he was too old and fragile to be doing that. So I bought one of these, thinking he would like it because the water flows downward, like from the faucet. He wasn’t interested, and the only thing I will say about this fountain is that you are supposed to change the filters about every 2 weeks and they are $3 each. Meanwhile the ThirstyCats Fountain, which I paid about $125 for, has a reusable filter that only has to be replaced about every couple of years – for $6. It’s an attractive fountain, and I don’t know how long it would stay clean, but that is a lot of expensive filter changing for me.
Had one for a couple of months and it’s far quieter than other fountains. Though it’s a shame plastic is used.
