Set the scene for Halloween with the spooky, cat-filled art of Chaos in Color — where the cats are alive and the people are not. “Catacomb” ushers in Dia de los Muertos with a sugar-skull-adorned gray kitty surrounded by orange roses and a lime green spider. This art print is an excellent example of the cheerfully macabre work of Chaos in Color.
Chaos in Color is the work of Annie Dunn, who grew up across the street from an old small-town cemetery in northwestern Iowa. She always thought of skeletons as her eccentric old neighbors, and she has a deep connection to cats. You will often see the two combined in her work, with cats providing comic relief. Annie seeks to raise the social status of cats and the people who love them, which is why we love her so much at Hauspanther!
When you sign up for the Chaos in Color email list or join the Cats of Chaos Patreon (see giveaway page for links), you will have access to Annie’s exclusive one-of-a-kind giclée canvas prints of her weekly paintings. If this artwork speaks to you, here’s your opportunity to join the club!
