I’m really excited to announce that I will be in Asheville, NC next week for the grand opening of the House of Black Cat Magic! This new concept combines a spiritual supplies shop (with a cat focus, of course!) and a cat lounge specifically for black cats!
Hannah Soboleski, Founder and Executive Director of the non-profit cat rescue Binx’s Home for Black Cats, combined forces with Shari Comeau, Binx’s Foster Coordinator, and Star Bustamonte, who will serve as the Senior VP of the House of Black Cat Magic, creating an all-female team to run the new organization.
The House of Black Cat Magic offers basic supplies for the modern magical practitioner including candles, incense, herbs, books, and ritual tools. Behind the shop is the black cat lounge. Visitors can make reservations to hang out with the cats in this magical space, hopefully finding a new familiar to take home.
I was brought in to design the black cat lounge area and here’s a sneak peek! They are working hard right now to make the space a reality and will be revealing it to the public at the grand opening on Sunday, June 4 from noon to 4 pm. If you’re in the West Asheville area please join us! Get more details and RSVP to the event on Facebook.
Binx’s Home for Black Cats and the House of Black Cat Magic both aim to spread the magic of black cats and foster a community that loves and protects them. You know how much we love hauspanthers so this is right up out alley!
