Boxscoop creators James and Michelle didn’t set out to design a new litter box but they were committed to improving the litter box experience for both cats and their people. Their goal is to alleviate the struggles that so many households with cats face. If the litter box isn’t easy to clean, it could get neglected, causing cats to rebel. And if the design of the box doesn’t appeal to the cat, you can also have a problem on your hands. These are the issues that Boxscoop addresses, and they do it quite well.

Boxscoop 2.0: Easy Cleaning for You & Comfort for Your Cat

Boxscoop 2.0 is the latest version of the popular Boxscoop top-entry litter box featuring a full range of innovative features that make it easy for you to clean in just seconds. The design of Boxscoop 2.0 also helps your cat feel at ease so they won’t have a problem using the box.

Circular Design Gives Cats a 360° View

The circular design of Boxscoop 2.0 allows cats to turn around easily inside, a common cat behavior that many boxes don’t allow for. The top entry opening also lets cats look out while doing their business, giving them a clear view of their surroundings, important for making sure cats don’t feel trapped when inside the box. Measuring 20″ in diameter and 15.2″ tall with a 12″ top opening, Boxscoop 2.0 is suitable for average sized cats up to ~13 lbs. But don’t worry! If you have a larger cat, read on for another option!

Top Entry Keeps Litter Inside

Litter tracking is an annoying part of living with a litter box, but Boxscoop 2.0 can help. As cats leave the box through the top opening, loose litter on paws will get caught in the slots and fall back into the box, reducing the amount of tracked litter in your home.

Sift & Lift To Clean in Seconds

The most innovative feature of Boxscoop 2.0 is the patented litter sifting system. When it’s time to scoop, simply remove the top and use the built-in stainless steel scoop to sweep through the litter removing clumps in seconds. Use the included toss container to collect the clumps and easily transfer to a biodegradable bag. The scoop is designed to remove clumps off the bottom without digging and scraping.

Boxscoop Curve XL: The first XL easy cleaning litter box

With the success of Boxscoop 2.0 and feedback from customers who were looking for a litter box to accommodate larger cats, James and Michelle decided it was time to add a second design. Introducing the Boxscoop Curve XL, a new easy-to-clean litter box designed specifically for larger cats.

Two Entry Options

The Boxscoop Curve XL has a similar circular design as the Boxscoop 2.0 but the Curve XL lets you choose from two entry options, either a top entry or an open top with a ramp for easier access. Some cats prefer an open top litter box or they may not be able to jump up to access the top entry, like senior cats or cats with mobility issues. In these cases the open top and ramp are a better choice. You can choose what suits your cat best.

Ergonomic Features with Cats & People In Mind

The inside design of the Curve XL is quite different, with a continuous litter channel that creates a larger litter surface area. There is a landing pad in the middle of the base, allowing cats to step on to the pad when entering the box from either the side or the top, something many cats seem to prefer rather than just stepping directly into the loose litter. An ergonomic scoop attaches to the outside of the container and handle cutouts at the bottom make it easy to lift the Curve XL.

Guided Scooping System for Easy Cleaning

The ergonomic scoop is designed to fit perfectly in the litter channel, contouring the sides as you scoop in a circular direction. This makes it easy to gather all the clumps in one sweep. The curved channel has no sharp corners where clumps can get trapped, making it easy to scrub inside the box when you change out the litter.

Designed for Larger Cats

The overall dimensions of the Curve XL are about the same as the Boxscoop 2.0 but the inside design and the open top option create a much larger area easily accommodating cats up to 20 lbs.

Best Litter For Boxscoop

Both Boxscoop boxes are designed to work with any clumping litter, but James and Michelle did quite a bit of testing and developed their own litter that gets the best results. Boxscoop litter is a special mixture of cassava and walnut shell litter that sifts perfectly through the scoop in both the Boxscoop 2.0 and the Curve XL. The texture is perfect for this scooping system, it doesn’t contain any clay, and it naturally neutralizes odors without any chemicals or artificial scents.
